Fantastic!!! I bought this case for my new MSI Wind w/6 cell battery. Because I want to carry more items other than the MSI, this is the ticket.
It's roomy enough to hold my:
1. MSI netbook
2. The included power cord and "brick"
2. My OCZ USB corded mouse
3. Bose full size headphones
5. Up to 5 CDs (case has 5 soft slotted CD pockets)
6. My Dell PDA (case has a same size protected mesh pocket)
7. there's still room to spare!
When I travel, I don't want several gadgets scattered around to collect and bring into the hotel room. This case holds everything for me in one small efficient package. Now I'll never need to open and search through other luggage or run back out to the car. Everything is unified.
You get the picture. This case is tough, it has ample pockets, is padded well, and it includes a balanced handle plus a detachable shoulder strap. Best of all, it's small and light-weight.

Bright yellow lining too October 16, 2008

Thanks to the reviewer who posted the pictures, I saw that this black case has a bright yellow lining. To me, this is a plus because the contents of the bag show clearly when I look into it. I can more easily find what I'm looking for without having to open the thing completely up. I ordered it and received it yesterday, and am happy with my purchase.
The case is larger than is strictly necessary just to carry my ASUS Eee PC 901 and its power cord, but as has also been noted by a reviewer here, I can put my wallet, cellphone and other stuff in it and carry this around town as a laptop case plus handbag.
I like the fact that the shoulder strap is detachable, because I will probably attach a different strap to this case. I have a few shoulder straps with padding at the top which are more comfortable to use.
Pluses: shoulder carry option, detachable shoulder strap, nice organization (a whole separate-entry side for small items), bright colored lining, appears well-constructed, good value for the price.
Minuses: if you really just want to carry the Eee and a power cord, this is bigger than necessary.

This case wasn't designed to fit just the laptop. It not only fits the laptop but all the accessories, disks,Cell phone, etc that you want to carry with you. If you want a case that just covers the laptop, this is not the item for you. But if you're like me and want something to carry your tablet and accessories this case is perfect.

I had only the written materials and two outside photos of this product to help me decide whether to buy it or not. The written materials stated that the laptop compartment was 10" x 8" x 2", so I was not sure that the ASUS Eee PC 1000H 160G (10" Display, 1.6 GHz Intel ATOM Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Fine Ebony I had ordered (10-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 1.1") would fit or not. I called the supplier, and they assured me that it would fit.
I went ahead and bought the case, and I'm glad I did. Although I was surprised to find that the case was 5-3/4" thick, I am very pleased with it. It is very well-constructed, and it has plenty of room to hold everything I need. I have submitted additional pictures with detailed dimensions and characteristics to help inform potential buyers of exactly what they are buying. Since some of my photo captions were clipped, I have included them in full below:
This case is very attractive and is made of high quality materials and construction. Side view of both compartments (which do not open flat). Total outside dimensions (when closed) are 11-1/2" W x 9-3/4" H x 5-3/4" D (note: add about 1" to height for handle).
Padded slide-in compartment easily stretches to hold a small laptop or other item with dimensions of up to 10-1/2" W x 9" H x 2-1/2" D with elastic on each side to help hold it in place. Compartment is a total of 3-1/2" deep so space behind slide-in compartment will hold a book or other items.
Zippered mesh compartment has a slide-in sleeve (on left) for a wireless phone, calculator or similar-sized item (roughly holds 8" H x 3-1/2" W x 3/4" D but stretches a little). Five flat sleeves (on right) are 5-1/4" W x 4" H (to top of each lip) and will hold passports, photos, business cards, credit cards, ID badges, cash, etc.
Zippered mesh pocket has inside dimensions of 10-5/8" W x 9" H for all except rounded corners.
Shoulder strap adjusts from 28" to 49-3/4" end-to-end.
