This new text is part of an ongoing process by Saxon Publishers to remove the integration of algebra and geometry throughout the Saxon program, which is the core of what John Saxon (1923-1996) believed was so important in his curriculum. Because students earn 1/2 credit of geometry in DIVE+Saxon Algebra 2 and 1/2 credit of geometry is earned in the first 1/3 of DIVE + Saxon Advanced Math, this course is redundant and unnecessary. The only time this course would be useful is if DIVE + Saxon Advanced Math will not be taken. Instead, we recommend DIVE for Saxon Algebra 2 which has geometry integrated with algebra 2. Students earn 1/2 credit of geometry in Algebra 2 then earn 1/2 credit of geometry in DIVE Advanced Math. This CD requires the use of the Saxon Geometry Homestudy Kit or Public School version of Saxon Geometry which is not included in this listing.
