Amazon.com Product Description Retrace the history of Paris, from its prehistoric origins to our times. Rediscover the Gallo-Roman city, Paris in the Middle Ages, or Paris during the Renaissance. Relive the great moments in this city's history: the revolution of 1789, the upheavals of Haussmann's era, its liberation in 1944, and finally the great public works that mark the turn of the 21st century. By opening the doors of its famous museums and cafés, rediscover the Paris of the great artists and writers who have lived there. Take part in the many celebrations that have enlivened the history of the French capital. Visit the different Universal Expositions of the 19th century. Descend into subterranean Paris and explore its famous sewers and catacombs. Go in quest of the romanticism of its numerous parks and gardens. Visit the unknown, hidden Paris--the mad projects of certain architects, like the elephant of Place de la Bastille or a Paris under the river. Meet the personalities who have left their mark on Paris's history and its cultural heritage: the artists, architects, and politicians. In short, discover the spirit of Paris and those who have shaped it.

What I like about this cd is that you can focus Paris in different way. The intellectual, bohemic, the academic, the leisure one. It can fix your type. It does not matter if you have never been to Paris, or if you has lived there you can learn something new and amazing as the underground Paris, like the cafés that are famous in a lot of motion pictures, the art deco architecture, etc. It is very interactive and I can spend hours in it. I like a lot the Montparnasse House in how they presents viewing and art subjects. Paris is a museum by itself so enjoy it.
