LiquidLogic's Remix XP 9 kayak is the go-to crossover kayak for both whitewater usage as well as flat water kayaking. This kayak is an extension of the popular Remix series, though it's waterline has been extended for cruising ease. The XP has and integral skeg which when deployed offers superb tracking but with the skeg tucked away the XP offers the agility needed to excel on whitewater.

I have been canoeing all my life and done a little bit of kayaking. When I in the spring of 2009 saw the add of the crossover, Liquid Logic Remix XP 10 I knew that this is what I was looking for. I bought it and have not been disappointed. I like to go both in lakes and in slow to medium fast rivers and it performs exactly what it is supposed to. I have used it for many trips already.
I bought a skirt which was needed in the type of water I was using it. It is comfortable to sit in. The storage compartment is good. It is overall very well done and of good quality.
A couple of minor things: When I was paddling with great power, the skeg made a noise when it touched the sides of the retractable space. I solved that by putting some small self adhesive rubber pieces inside the space and now i can paddle silently.
The rubber that holds the lid to the storage compartment broke one time when I too eagerly pulled it up. I fixed it easily myself with a very small bungee cord.
I truly recommend this kayak.
