Nice product, nice price October 24, 2008 minutes to set up, really good sound quality, short money. You really can't go wrong.
Good not Great - 2nd Time Around September 8, 2008 All worked out ok in the end but at first, I was very displeased with this product. The first unit I got from Amazon was defective and would NOT take/hold a charge. I contacted LTB directly and they gave me an RMA and I sent it back. LTB was not very good about updating me on the RMA status, in fact they never even told me they got it, even when I e-mailed and asked! However, a couple weeks after sending the RMA, a new one appeared on my doorstep from them. As far as holding a charge it seems awesome, it will work for hours and the sound quality and microphone are great. I love using it, the wireless is so nice. I mainly use it in my home office and it's nice to be able to move around while talking over VOIP or just listening to music. That was my reason for buying it, so I'm pleased. However, LTB advertises it as having a 100 foot range, that may be true but in a home or apartment, there are so many walls and it does NOT go through walls, as soon as I turn the corner around a wall, it goes dead. Not a huge deal, knowing all this, I would still buy it again.
LTB QB Wireless headset, solid performance, reliable July 24, 2008 This is the third wireless headset I've owned and am pleased with its performance. Installation is easy and it largely functions as advertised (see note on range), with decent sound quality. Battery life is great, I can get many hours of usage out of a single charge. I would rate it as just "ok" in value for money and ergonomics, I found the ring padding around the headphones not quite deep enough for the inner speaker lining not to touch the ears which is not noticeable at first but becomes painful over long durations, although not uncomfortable at first. Weight is also just 'ok' but not bothersome. Range was a disappointment as I could barely go past 4-5m from the source before signal loss became noticeable. Unlike other similar products, connection at power-on is immediate and flawless and I've never needed to fight to connect, nor mess with channel nor deal with interference. Great hidden mic integration. Complaints are minor, overall a great product and one I would recommend.
Really great wireless headphone/headset December 6, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This headphone is an excellent wireless system. Have had no issues with interference and it connected up right away to my laptop. The sound quality all around is superb. They have separate subwoofer speakers and it really does make a huge difference. I like the built in microphone and I can tell you it works well in MSN messenger and Skype VOIP. The design is very comfortable and it seems to hold a charge of about 7 hours from my experience. The other reviews listed don't appear to be for this product. Some confusion there. All around a nice system and Highly recommended!
not bad February 23, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this a few years back when it came out and was the only 5.1 computer headset the market to my knowledge. When it worked, the audio output and microphone input worked great. The volume on each of the 5.1 surround speakers is adjustable, so you can adjust the rear speakers to what you think is an appropriate volume for "behind" you. The microphone, which detaches from the headset, always had a very finicky connection, as did the connectors on the little black box with the volume control. In recent months, CS:Source causes the sound to go haywire every 30 minutes or so, which has to do with some command the game issues that this unit doesn't like. The earpiece recently broke off, but in their defense I did throw them on the ground countless times.
