Designed for comfort in either hand, this space-saving, four-button trackball boasts Logitech's innovative optical tracking system to deliver superior precision and smooth motion with virtually no maintenance or cleaning required. You get two ways to scroll: click two small buttons for page up and page down, or click one of two large buttons and use the ball for auto scrolling. 5 out of 5 stars Long live this mouse!   January 5, 2009
I've used this mouse for about 5 years now and have one at work and one at home. I've been lucky enough to not suffer from wrist fatigue and believe it's this mouse!
You can program the smaller buttons to do whatever you like which adds to the functionality. I sit in a recliner and having a track ball mouse is ideal since I don't have a surface to support a regular mouse. Having a usb cord connection isn't really an issue either since you don't move the mouse around much and the cord is long enough to allow you to sit a bit away from the monitor.
Only problem I have is that I've dropped the ball quite a number of times and it has some scratches/dents which make it a little finicky for precision work (like in Photoshop). I am buying a new ball today which will put it back to excellent precision - like new!!

I have tried the Kensington Orbit (too clunky) and the Logitech Cordless (the trackball is in an odd place for me) If you're a lefty you're in luck too because it's good for either!

I recommend this mouse to all my friends and now to all of you looking at it wondering if you should buy it. When I bought mine they were $40 or $50 so at $22 it's a great deal! Try it out.

4 out of 5 stars Very happy   January 2, 2009
Used a MacAlly Qball trackball for many years - finally started acting spotty and needed another trackball. Unfortunately, they don't make the Qball anymore and there aren't many choices out there. The marble mouse seemed like the closest as far as form and it took me a short while to get used to the slightly different feel and the placement of the side buttons. I'm guessing they're symmetrical so the trackball can be used by righties and lefties, but I find that the outside (right) button seems just a tiny bit too far back. Like I said, I got used to it quickly, but doesn't feel as natural as the button placement on the Qball. The scroll buttons took a while to get used to as well, coming from one wheel to go up and down to 2 separate buttons for up and down, but they do their job fine. They're maybe a little too small for my taste, but you get used to it.

Overall, though, very happy with it. The ball rolls very smoothly and tracks very well on screen. I'm on the road a lot, so it gets packed up and set up many times, and after 2 months of use still feels very sturdy.

5 out of 5 stars Love this product   January 1, 2009
I was using this mouse at work with an IBM Thinkpad. So I ordered one for my iMac at home. It works great. All I had to do was plug it in and it was ready to go. I can work much faster with it than the mouse Apple supplied with my computer. I definitely recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Great product!   December 28, 2008
I have had this item for about 5 years now and absolutely LOVE it! The last one was bought for my boyfriend. He always liked mine so I got him his own.

4 out of 5 stars Great if you have good finger coordination. No wrist movement needed.   December 16, 2008
I own four of these things. I never have to move my wrist with this trackball. If you have good finger coordination, then this trackball is absolutely great. My staff cannot stand this trackball and say their hands hurt (what??); I don't think they have very good finger coordination. So I took em all home and all my PCs and Macs are hooked up to this, and they all work great.

Only problem is that my 1 yr old son likes to take the ball out of the device and hide them. I wish the trackball can be locked in to place; right now it comes off too easily. Next problem is that it has no scrolling wheel like most of the other pointing devices avail these days. NOTE TO LOGITECH: just add those two things to this device, and you'll have a perfect trackball!
